The Image Stabilization, or perhaps better put the lack of Image Stabilization makes this camera unusable. In full daylight one out of every 4 pictures taken without zoom is usable.

My daughter bought this camera a few months ago. I so enjoyed using it that I bought one for myself. Can take some great sports shots if the lighting is pretty good.
Easy to operate. Many different settings - haven't been able to try them all out yet. Not too big but substantial enough that I don't feel like my hands get in the way when I'm taking pictures. I'm going to have fun with this camera in Paris!

This camera is the best camera I have ever had. I have had 35MM camera's in the past but nothing compares with digital. With a 4 gig card I can take over 600 pix and that is at the highest quality setting. The anti vibration/movement feature works great, and the menu is easy to use. All pictures are sharp and at a perfect exposure. I am very happy with this camera. I have not tried the video feature yet.

I am not a camera expert so I don't know a whole lot of the mechanics or lens. I needed a camera that was able to provide me with great quality photos for textures or reference for modeling and zbrushing. I was bothered by the comments about the photo quality of this camera, but you know what this camera has out done itself. Pictures come out perfectly even from FARRRRRRRR distances. I took my camera out to take some texture shots and reference shots and I was able to take a picture of the space needle from gas works park and it looks great. I was also able to take two photos of planes flying over the water and get pretty good detail. There was this old building I needed to take pictures of for reference/textures and the camera was amazing in taking pictures up close of the walls from a far distance...and I never used a stand. Just great stuff.
