Sony Camera February 14, 2010 Ila N (California) Although Sony Cybershot DSC-W220 is a 12.1MP Digital Camera, I do not see that the picture is higher quality, than my old Sony Camera (8MP). I'm disappointed with this camera.
great camera, nice picture quality January 31, 2010 karthik dabeeru (USA) I bought this camera on the black Friday sale.Got a nice deal.About the camera, its simply awesome.Nice picture quality, easy to use, handy. The battery charging doesn't stay long, except that this piece is awesome.
Grand ma loves it January 31, 2010 Poppa Dog Purchased for my Mom for Xmas. I was a bit wary as she isn't a technical person. Dad insisted she needed a camera. My daughter has a Sony Cybershot. Last summer she used it on vacation and came home with literally a thousand photos and videos. Enough that I had to purchase her an external hard drive to store them! The camera worked in rain, snow and after bouncing around in my truck for three weeks without a problem. I decided that was the camera for my Mom. She figured it out in no time. Spent the Xmas day taking photos of the grandkids and festivities. She was very pleased and I was amazed. Pricing and delivery was excellent from Amazon.
Pretty Good point & shoot January 24, 2010 S. Higgins (Columbus, OH United States) This is a pretty nice camera for casual snaps and travel photos. I like the portability, the image stabilization, and the lens is pretty sharp; I like the fairly good wide angle coverage. The cons are few, but are important to me. First off, the flash is just about worthless. It is either off or ****FLASH****. You can turn it down in the menus, but it is still overpowering when you use it. Perhaps my camera is defective. Secondly, the battery life could be better. It isn't horrible, but you pay for the petite battery size with fewer shots. Try to avoid reviewing all your photos while you're out shooting, the backlight in the LCD takes it's toll. The battery also takes quite a while to charge. Not wild about using Memory stick rather than SD, but it is a Sony so it is to be expected. Lastly, even at ISO 100 there is chroma noise in the shadows, but this can be tweaked in post-processing. I suspect this is due to it being a 12 MP camera with a relatively small sensor.
All good January 22, 2010 K. Campbell (Reno, NV) I've bought several of these for friends in South America and everyone is pleased. Good size, good photo quality, easy to use, portable, and durable.
